Welcome to the Oklahoma Living and Real Estate Show. I’m your host, Tim Dumas with eXp Realty here in Oklahoma.  On today’s show we will talk about real estate news, share what was the price of the most expensive home sold in Oklahoma County in 2022 and our special guest is Caren Banda with Inspirational Interiors. 

The number of listings and sales is still down compared to this time last year. Part of the reason is the higher interest rates. Home owners are reluctant to put their house on the market because they have a low interest rate and they don’t want to go from that to a higher one.

There are signs of increased activity. Google searches for homes have increased and applications for loans have increased but sales contracts are still significantly lower than this time last year.

What was the biggest home sale last year in Oklahoma County? It was a home, or you could say a mansion, near Lake Arcadia for a price of $4,050,000. It had 10,053 square feet. For perspective, a basketball court is 4,700 square feet.

The Azalea Festival in Muskogee is going on during the month of April. It’s held at the Muskogee's Honor Heights Park which has 40 acres of manicured gardens with over 30,000 azaleas in 625 varieties.

The Holy City of the Wichitas Easter Passion Play, the “Prince of Peace” continues until April 8th. It is hosted outdoors in the Holy City of the Wichitas which is near Lawton and part of the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.
