Welcome:
Welcome to the Oklahoma Living and Real Estate Show. I’m your host, Tim Dumas with eXp Realty here in Oklahoma.  On today’s show we will talk about what price range is still hot and which price range has slowed down in construction.

We will also hear from Karleigh Riddell a Loan Officer with the Dean Riddell Group as she shared helpful information for those looking to buy a home.

That’s all coming up. Stay tuned!

Real Estate News:
According to the Daily Oklahoman, new home construction in the metro has fallen this year except for the $200,000 to the $250,000 price range as there continues to be a big demand for that price range home.

Homes in that range, including pre existing homes in good condition, are not staying on the market long and some are having multiple offers.

It’s been very hard to find a home under $200,000 that doesn’t need a lot of work. It’s been frustrating for some buyers because when they do find a house, like I already mentioned, they find themselves in a multiple offer situation where some are willing to pay over the market value.

If you find yourself in a situation where you are wanting to put an offer in on a home that has multiple offers, there are some things you can do to make your offer look more appealing to the seller but you also need to make sure you protect yourself as the buyer as well. Make sure you consult your real estate agent and of course you can always reach out to me.

Things To Do:
The Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve is again hosting the annual Spring Traders Encampment. Consider driving this weekend to Woolaroc in Bartlesville and enjoy experiencing the rugged pioneer life of the men and women who trapped and traded in 1840s-era Indian Territory. I believe you still have to pay the entrance cost to Woolaroc but there’s not extra fee for the Spring Traders event.

The Midtown Walkabout in Oklahoma City is this Saturday the 15th from 12-4pm. Midtown merchants will be offering in-store specials, discounts, and activities during their normal operating hours, in addition to free family programming throughout the district provided by the Midtown Association and Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership.
